Kadir Aydın, General Manager of Tarım Kredi Birlik, said that they started purchasing table and oil olives. Wishing it to be a fruitful season for producers, Aydın said, “We are planning to purchase 20 thousand tons of oil olives and 10 thousand tons of table olives for this year. 

Tarım Kredi Birlik A.Ş., a subsidiary of the Tarım Kredi Group started purchasing table and oil olives in the Aegean Region with the olive harvest. Evaluating the product purchasing activities and harvesting process, TK Birlik General Manager Kadir Aydın said, "We adopt the motto of exemplary producer, conscious consumer as our motto." 

General Manager Aydın noted that the products procured through cooperatives are processed into value-added products by processing them at the required standards and conditions in the facilities within Tarım Kredi and said: As Tarım Kredi Birlik, we work with the understanding of "From Field to Table Without Touching Other Hands" within the scope of our functions and functions that we see as a requirement of the 159-year acquis of our umbrella organization. In this way, we both evaluate the products of our producers and offer an alternative option to our end consumers. The food sector is of strategic importance. Seasonal changes, transformation of global climate conditions and extraordinary situations experienced in our environment; Factors such as wars and global epidemics have once again reminded us of the importance of the food sector. In this sense, with our product purchasing activities, we both lead our farmers to produce without worrying about the market and take responsibility for the supply of quality food products that our citizens need at affordable prices. 

It is aimed to purchase 30 thousand tons

Our work to purchase olives, whose benefits are countless and a serious source of income for our producers, continues. In 2021, we purchased 5 thousand tons of oil olives and 4 thousand 600 tons of table olives. We set a target of purchasing 20 thousand tons of oil olives and 10 thousand tons of table olives for 2022. The products we purchase are from Tarım Kredi Yağ A.Ş., one of our Tarım Kredi Grup companies. After going through detailed processes in factories, it is offered to consumers in Kooperatif Markets as olive oil and table olives under the brand of Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri.
